The president of the Peoples Republic of China, Xi Jinping, has visited the Netherlands in 2014 for the Nuclear Summit in The Hague. In March 2015 the Prime Minister of the Netherlands will visit China to further strengthen the relationship between Netherlands and China. Mark Rutte, leader of the second largest trading partner of China in Europe, will be the head of an economic mission towards Shanghai and Shenzhen.
Due to the strongpoints of the Netherlands and the opportunities of the two mentioned regions in China, this mission will focus on Agro, Energy, Environment technologies, High-tech, urban development, electronics and e-commerce.
